Our program is designed for children ages 3 months – 6 years and uses activities created by our own educators and other nationally recognized authors. Steps Taken to Reduce the Risk of Coronavirus
We will continue to follow all public health guidelines to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus. Children, ages 2 and up, and adults are asked to wear a face mask. Please social distance as much as possible and use the provided hand sanitizer before and after class.

Sing, Play, Grow
For babies ages 3 – 15 months
15 weekly 45-minute classes widiv a caregiver.- $200 per child (plus $3.30 tax). Price includes an assortment of home materials.
Experience Early Childhood Music and Movement widiv your baby in our Sing, Play, Grow! environment. Our delightful theme will include singing, chanting, cuddling, rocking, dancing, instrument exploration, and more! Baby-safe instruments add to music play at home! CDs will include some of our in-class songs and lots of others to explore as you make music at home.

Ages 15 Months - 3½ Years
Sing, Play, Move
For toddlers ages 15 months – 3½ years
15 weekly 45-minute classes with a caregiver- $200 per child (plus $3.30 tax). Price includes an assortment of home materials.
- Recorded music will include some of our in-class songs and many others to explore as you make music at home!
Your toddler is on the move and ready to learn through musical activities! You and your toddler will sing, move, chant, move, dance, move, explore instruments, and move some more! A great “pre-classroom” environment to encourage self-confidence, self-expression, social skills, and cooperation!

Ages 3½ - 5 Years
Sing, Play, Groove!
For preschoolers ages 3½ – 5 years
15 weekly 45-minute classes- Child attend the first 35 minutes alone, caregivers join in for the last 10 minutes.
- $200 per child (plus $3.30 tax). Price includes an assortment of home materials.
Based on activities created by Melissa Blum in her World Music Drumming Curriculum, “Drumming Up the Fun!”. Activities include creating sound stories to illustrate children’s books with musical instruments, exploring modified World Music Drumming ensembles, songs, and movement, rhythmic play, singing, dancing and more! Reinforces important preschool concepts such as turn taking, sharing, following guidelines, respecting personal space, and more.

Sing, Play, Keys!
For pre-k and kindergartners ages 5 and 6
- 15 weekly 45-minute classes
- Children attend first 40 minutes alone, caregivers join in for last 5 minutes.
- $200 per child (plus $3.30 tax). Price includes an assortment of home materials.
- A Yamaha keyboard can be rented for home use
Sing, Play, Keys! was created by Nancy Cree and teachers of the Nancy Cree Keyboard Learning Centers program. Designed to give young children a fun way to start learning the piano, students will learn rhythm basics, finger plays, and more!

Your Sing & Play & Learn Today Educators
Rebecca Foerstner is delighted to be the Director of Sing & Play & Learn Today at West Music! She has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa, and over 17 years of experience as a preschool and kindergarten teacher. She has taught early childhood music and movement at West Music since 2001 and teaches Kindergarten at Montessori Children’s Garden in North Liberty. Becky has been an active singer and instrumentalist throughout her life.
Gloria Hartley has a degree in cello performance and music therapy from the University of Iowa. She continues to play cello in the Iowa City Community String Orchestra and is also a board-certified music therapist with West Music.
Sing & Play & Learn Today! is an engaging program that promotes music appreciation, movement, and social interaction for children. The passion for music displayed by the instructors is inspiring. Through the music program, all of our children have made friends and built relationships that extend outside of the classroom. In our busy lives, the Sing & Play & Learn Today! program has provided us with countless hours of parent/child bonding time and created memories that we’ll cherish forever.
