The Cedar Valley has a very long and rich musical history.  Always at the center is some great theaters like the Gallagher-Bluedorn Center at UNI, Oster Regents in Cedar Falls, or the Waterloo Center for the Arts.  The Cedar Valley has also had a rich nightlife for live music (though in the last year some of these places have fallen on tough times).  We also have had local acts receive national headlines like the Bill Shepard Big Band and Maddie Poppe from American Idol.
